A New Voice for Pittsburg

I'm running for City Council because Pittsburg residents deserve leadership that listens, communicates openly, manages taxpayer dollars responsibly, and puts residents at the center of decisions affecting our community.

My Platform

My Priorities

Transparency & Accountability

Residents deserve to know how and why major decisions are being made.

The People's Voice

Major decisions affecting our community should include meaningful resident participation.

Public Safety

Support safe neighborhoods and strong partnerships between residents, law enforcement, and the City.

Responsible Development & Good Jobs

Attract businesses, restaurants, retail, hotels and employers that create good-paying jobs and improve our quality of life.

Parks, Recreation & Youth

Invest in parks, recreation programs and opportunities for Pittsburg's young people.

No More Data Centers

Support a moratorium on additional data center development and oppose Phases 2 and 3.

A Responsible Financial Future

Pittsburg is facing a $5 million structural budget deficit. We need a long term financial strategy that doesn't depend on one controversial development project or continually drawing down reserves.

I support diversifying City revenue through responsible commercial development, restaurants, retail, hotels, waterfront investment, small businesses and employers that create good paying jobs.

City government must also examine spending, prioritize essential services and demonstrate that taxpayer dollars are being used responsibly.

About the Candidate

Meet Alvin

Alvin is a husband, father of two young children, community volunteer, and experienced leader who is committed to making Pittsburg an even better place to live, work, raise a family, and build a future.

He earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Miami and his MBA from Florida International University. Over the past 20 years, Alvin has built a diverse career spanning business, technology, professional sports, human resources, and public service.

His professional experience includes serving as a certified contract advisor representing professional baseball and football players and coaches, working as a Human Resources leader in the technology industry, and currently serving the public as a Human Resources professional in government.

Throughout his career, Alvin has worked with people from different backgrounds, managed complex challenges, developed teams, and helped organizations find practical solutions. Those experiences have reinforced his belief that effective leadership begins with listening, transparency, accountability, collaboration, and treating people with respect.

But Alvin's decision to run for Pittsburg City Council is also personal. As a father raising two young children, he cares deeply about the decisions being made today and the Pittsburg they will inherit tomorrow.

Alvin believes residents deserve a City Council that listens before making major decisions, communicates openly, manages taxpayer dollars responsibly, supports safe neighborhoods, invests in parks and opportunities for young people, and pursues responsible economic development that creates good paying jobs and improves residents' quality of life.

He is running because he believes Pittsburg needs a new voice and a new direction, one that puts residents at the center of City government. Alvin is ready to listen, work collaboratively, and bring practical solutions to the challenges facing Pittsburg.
